Saying goodbye to QE2

QE2 courtesy of herrmanngunnar

If you can’t afford a ticket for the final cruise to Dubai – you can probably manage one for the Red Eagle. She’s Red Funnel’s flagship vehicle ferry she’ll be following the QE2 out of Southampton as she leaves for the last time on 11 November 2008. The Red Eagle has two open viewing decks, offering the chance to get great views and photos of the regal cruise liner as well as providing a great vantage point for the fireworks that will escort her on her way. Tickets are £15 for children, £30 for adults and £22 for seniors and include a glass of wine or soft drink, plus live music and family entertainment – contact Red Funnel Ferries for reservations.
