Veendam South American programme

Veendam courtesy of Phil of Ottowa

MS Veendam will be touring South America in the autumn and winter of 2009 and the spring 2010 season – but before she does, she’ll have had a refit that includes a new pool, staterooms, and refurbishment of existing cabins. The ten Veendam sailings range from 16 to 20 days and offer some of the most scenic cruising in the world as well as overnight port calls in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires on some cruises.

For those who want to extend their holiday, Holland America Line has a range of pre- and post-cruise land tours which allow you to spend an extra night or two in Rio de Janeiro and Santiago de Chile or enjoy an overland tour of anything from two to five days and taking in the famed ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru, Iguaçu Falls, located on the border of Brazil and Argentina, and Chile's wine country.
