John Sergeant to cruise after Strictly Come Dancing exit

The political correspondent will show of his 'dance skills' and give after dinner talks. He will appear on the P&O Oceana, which is scheduled to visit 9 countries in 14 days including a trip through the Panama Canal. Sergeant denied there was any connection between the trip and his decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing. "I do have a contract with a cruise liner to take me through the Panama Canal in a couple of weeks, but that didn't have anything to do with it," "It was always my intention to have fun on the show and I was hoping to stay in as long as possible. The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far.
