Independence of the Seas sails from Southampton

Following her successful launch in 2008, Independence of the Seas, the world’s newest, largest and most innovative cruise ship, is to return again to the UK in 2009, sailing out of Southampton to destinations around Europe and the Mediterranean.

This fantastic Royal Caribbean Freedom Class ship will be the only sailing out of Southampton that can really deliver the wow facto to guests!

At 160,000 tons and a capacity of 3,634 guests, Independence of the Seas features all of the industry-first amenities which are trademarks of the Freedom Class ships:

H20 Zone interactive water park

Rock-climbing wall which towers 200ft above sea level

Full-size boxing ring

Ice skating rink

Independence of the Seas also features some of the other distinctive offerings which are sure to impress everyone: an award winning youth programme, fine to casual dining venues, Broadway style entertainment and the Royal Promenade – an entertainment boulevard stretching the length of the ship with shops, restaurants, bars and lounges, which provides you with an endless variety of choices and experiences to suit your taste and preferences.
