Queen Elizabeth ship unveiled by Cunard

March 17, 2009, Cunard unveiled Queen Elizabeth ship that is supposed to enter in service since October, 2010 with a tour to Madeira and Canary Islands. According to cruise lines, this glorious Queen Elizabeth will accommodate 2000 passengers. It features triple and double height public apartments with intricate mosaics, art deco and marble styling and wood paneling.

This ship will also introduce a Cunard entertainment program inspired by the epoch of Queen Elizabeth I incorporating period dancing from traditional to jive and jitterbug and piano evenings. The public areas include the following: -

Queens room with magnificent artwork portraying wonderful views from majestic palaces, joint photograph of royal family and current queen with the dancing floor of 1000 sq ft.

A garden lounge is also there with the ceiling of vaulted glasses generating a conservatory feel motivated by Kew Garden’s glass house.

The deck for games introducing conventional British bowls, paddle tennis and croquet.

At the top balcony of staterooms, a British club is also there that provides single sitting dining experience for passenger.

It is being predicted that this royal ship will aid the passenger to enjoy the three queens services together, after the withdrawal of Queen Victoria, Queen marry 2 and QE2.
