An ‘older’ ship, built in the 80s and used by a number of lines before Fred Olsen took her over, Boudicca appeals to those who like a classic cruise holiday with formal dining, peace and quiet and good but not adventurous food.
The passenger profile here is a high proportion of retired people and a very low number of children, reflected in the casino which has no noisy slot machines and the gym which is small and, shall we say, sedate. On the other hand, service, as on all Fred Olsen vessels, is considered excellent. If one word encapsulated the experience on this ship, the word would be ‘cosy’.
A truly world class cruise ship with a light and airy design, Boudicca's scale creates a sense of warmth and welcome from the moment you embark.
Boudicca has attracted a band of loyal followers, thanks to her spacious layout and stylish interiors. An appropriate British historical theme is reflected throughout, with each public room, lounge and restaurant designed to ensure the mood is in keeping with her sister ship Black Watch
