Carnival
Ship name Carnival Paradise
The Fantasy class of Carnival cruise liners (Fantasy, Ecstasy, Inspiration, Imagination, Fascination, Elation, Sensation and Paradise) are all undergoing, or have undergone, major refurbishments as part of the Evolutions of Fun programme. For Paradise this has delivered upgraded cabins and a redesigned spa, but because this cruise ship takes short cruises only (three days up to a week at most) there are none of the luxury cabins and suites found on other Carnival Vessels. Notable features of the ship are the ‘Ships of the World’ décor, which is a lovely homage to famous cruise liners through history, and the sushi bar, which is free! Be patient though, it’s not speedy.
Above all, this is a family vessel and takes children into Camp Carnival as young as two, so be prepared for lots of kiddies on board. It’s an ideal cruise holiday for those with children or grandchildren who want a short, fun-filled break, and aren’t too fussed about getting ashore in unusual places.
