One of Carnival’s Destiny class of ships, Victory was launched in 2000 and has had a 2007 refurbishment, but despite this, most travellers feel she has an ambience that ranges from ‘comfortable’ to ‘well-worn’ depending on who you speak to! She doesn’t have the full range new amenities, like the sushi bar, but generally the impression of this ship seems to be that it’s one for families, not couples. The activities seem to be geared to under thirties and there are definitely ongoing issues with the number of deckchairs available and early-morning chair hogging which has been a feature of Victory’s cruises since she was launched. The refurbished cabins are a nice surprise though; large and well organized and nicely decorated.
What can you expect on a "Fun Ship" that's more than 100,000 tons? More fun than ever before. Because this floating resort has multi-tiered decks, including four fabulous pool areas, all kinds of clubs and lounges, even a two-level spa and fitness center. The Eastern Caribbean itinerary calls on San Juan, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, while the Western route makes stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rio.
