If you think the name of this ship is a departure for Celebrity, you’d be right. She was formerly called Sun Bay 1, and is a luxury vessel, on the small side, which is Celebrity's Xpedition sub-brand. What does this mean? Premium prices, up-market destinations that are also unusual and exotic. The brand will visit Antarctica, the Arctic and Alaska, but Xpedition focuses on the Galapagos islands. Passengers can expect superb wildlife and landscape experiences, but apart from daytime lectures on wildlife and tour briefings for the following day, formal entertainment is limited to a final night folklore show. TV and board games take up the slack for this largely sophisticated and self-starting passenger group who have often appear to have sailed with every other line to every other place on the planet!
