Launched in 1993, this cruise vessel has something of a cosmopolitan air, although she lacks some of the amenities now taken for granted on younger vessels, for example, there are few balcony suites. The Costa cruises have always been multilingual, which can present problems with public announcements but this ship has a young age profile too, and most crew and many cruise passengers seem to be bi or trilingual!
