The Co-operative Travel Cruises Terms of Use

The Co-operative Travel Cruises (ABTA L406X) are fulfilling the contract on behalf of Socruise.com.

These Terms of Use provide a legal document, which sets out your rights and obligations, and those of The Co-operative Travel Cruises in relation to the cruise and holiday services offered through this site.

Access to any information on this web site is conditional on your acceptance of the Legal Information and statements shown below. All bookings and purchases are subject to availability and written confirmation by The Co-operative Travel Cruises.

This website is for the purpose of communicating prices and availability; it should therefore not be regarded as an offer, purely as an invitation to treat. Reference on this website to “our”, “we” and “us” are references to The Co-operative Travel Cruises and Co-operative Group Travel Limited

Access to this website is conditional on your agreement that the contents and all matters which arise between you the customer and The Co-operative Travel Cruises will be governed by English law.

The Co-operative Travel Cruises is based in the UK, which is where this particular website has been created and is located.

As a full member of ABTA the Association of British Travel Agents, we are able to offer complete peace of mind to you the customer that your holiday money is safe in our hands. We operate as a retail agent for Tour Operators under ABTA number L406X.

Whilst we constantly strive to achieve the highest standards of accuracy using reasonable care and skill, we cannot be held responsible for the content contained within this website. We strongly advise you to check all details relating to your holiday/travel arrangements at the time of booking. The copyright in the material contained on this site belongs to us or its licensors. The material may only be used for that person’s own personal use for non-commercial purposes.

Pricing

The prices shown on this website are valid at the time of input; however we reserve the right to change our prices or other details at any time. Prices may go up or down. Our sales consultants will confirm the correct price and itinerary or advise of any amendments before the booking is confirmed.

Prices are shown in Per Person (pp) unless otherwise stated. Prices are also based on 2 adults sharing the lowest grade cabin available unless otherwise stated. All cabins / prices are subject to availability

All holiday and flight prices quoted are in pounds sterling and include all taxes unless otherwise stated. Ticket on departure and/or resort transfer’s charges may apply to selected holidays. We reserve the right to withdraw these prices without notice.

All holidays and flights advertised in this website are bound by the relevant Tour Operators terms and conditions and are subject to availability. Prices may exclude some mandatory costs such as fuel charges and flight supplements. Any fuel surcharges are payable as in accordance with the Tour Operators terms and conditions. Offers are open to UK residents only.

Booking

All customers who make a booking as a result of information contained within this website are required to hold a valid 10 year passport.

If you do need to apply for a new 10 year passport, please do so at least 12 weeks prior to departure. Any children under 16 who are not included on a valid 10 year passport will need to hold their own passport when travelling abroad.

It is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport and any Visa that may be necessary. The Co-operative Travel Cruises will not be held responsible for any loss or delay that may occur as a result of the passport or visa not being produced for travel.

The person making the booking (lead passenger) must be aged 18 years or over and must accept responsibility for all members of the party travelling. It is the responsibility of the lead passenger to disclose facts about any passengers that may affect their ability to travel. Particular regard should be paid to the following a) Criminal Offences (USA Visitors – Persons wishing to travel to the USA that have any criminal records including driving offences, must declare these at the time of booking the holiday) and b) previous deportations from the country/countries that you are visiting. Charges will be incurred for any amendments made to a booking or travel arrangement. It is a condition of booking that you take out adequate insurance either by taking out our special holiday insurance or by arranging another policy that offers the same or greater protection. Our holiday insurance can not be booked online, please contact our Aftersales Department on 0870 220 4951 for full details.

The Co-operative Travel Cruises reserves the right to refuse to accept any order placed by you the customer.

The carriage of passengers and their baggage is subject to provisions of the Warsaw convention (as amended if applicable) national legislation and the carriers conditions of carriage. Each appropriate Tour Operator or Airline reserves the right to change holiday details and/or flight and routes.

Please note that our usual surcharge of 2.35% will be applied to all Credit Card and Charge Card transactions. Surcharges are reduced for Co-operative Members, please ask for full details.

CHECKLIST FOR DISABLED AND LESS MOBILE PASSENGERS

We strongly recommend that this checklist be completed before making a booking if you have a disability or a medical condition requiring special travel, accommodation or dietary arrangements. The form should also be used to give information regarding specific needs for equipment and/or medication you may have.

It can be completed by you or the travel agent. The questions aren’t meant to be intrusive - the information you provide will be treated confidentially and will be used only to check that the accommodation, transport and facilities at the destination are right for you. Data Privacy

We collect information such as name, address and date of birth when an enquiry is generated, or a booking is made. The Co-operative Travel Cruises will use your information for administration, customer services and targeted marketing. In order to fulfil our commitments to you we will disclose your information to our service providers and agents. We may contact you by mail, telephone, fax or email to let you know about any other products, services or promotions that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive marketing or promotional material, please state this to your travel advisor at the time of booking or alternatively e-mail reservations@co-operativecruises.co.uk Please note that the information you enter may be transferred outside the European Economic Area for the purposes of marketing. Any transfer of personal information outside of the European Economic Area is done in circumstances ensuring that the information is processed only in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the UK's Data Protection Act. If you have any queries relating to our privacy policy please contact Ann McKenna, Customer Services Manager, e-mail ann.mckenna@coop-travel.co.uk We comply with all applicable data protection legislation as detailed by the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Information about you may be passed to other companies in the Coop Travel group for administration, marketing and analysis purposes and for customer surveys and market research. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to your insurers (if you apply for insurance), security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, for debt collection purposes or as required by law. Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. When making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.) If we change our Privacy Policy, the changes will be posted here, so that you are always kept informed of how we collect and use the information, and when we would disclose it. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to the changed policy. N.B. This only applies to this website and not to the websites of other companies, individuals or organisations to which we provide links. We are not responsible and will not be able to protect your privacy if you disclose personal information in this way.
